In short

Small mosques can use My Mosque free for life. Bigger mosques pay a monthly or yearly fee, in US dollars, for each mosque or organisation. You buy and manage plans on {{WEBSITE}}; Stripe handles the payment. Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. If a payment fails or a plan ends, nothing is deleted: you can still read and edit everything. Only adding more admins or members beyond the free limits pauses. We are not here to make a profit: fees only cover what it costs to run the service.

These terms are part of the Terms of Service.

1. Why we charge at all

We do not build My Mosque to make a profit. We built it to serve mosques.

Your mosque's data lives in the cloud. That keeps it safe, backed up and the same on every committee member's phone. Cloud services cost money every month. So our fees cover only:

• servers and the cloud database,
• file storage for receipts and documents,
• maintenance, security updates and new versions,
• support for mosques.

That is why small mosques are free for life, and why prices go up only as a mosque needs more people and more space.

2. Words we use

• Admin: anyone in a mosque with any role other than plain Member. For example President, Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, Imam, Khateeb, Muezzin, Khadim, Teacher, Auditor or Counter. A person with several roles counts once.
• Member: any other person in the mosque.
• Mosque or organisation: one single mosque, or one single organisation. Each needs its own plan. A group of mosques pays for each mosque in it (CHECK whether a group's own central space needs its own plan).
• Period: one month or one year, depending on the plan you choose.

3. Plans and prices

All prices are in US dollars (USD), per single mosque or single organisation. Taxes may apply (see section 9).

Add-on packs (Standard and Large)

• You can add any number of packs.
• Packs follow your plan's billing period (monthly packs on a monthly plan, yearly packs on a yearly plan).
• Packs are whole packs. For example, 4 extra admins need 2 admin packs.

Free plan rules

• Free for life, with no card needed.
• One free mosque per admin. A person can be an admin of only one free mosque. To be an admin of a second mosque, that mosque needs a paid plan (or the person must leave their admin role in the first free mosque).
• When a free mosque reaches 3 admins or 50 members, it can keep using everything it has. To add more, it moves to Standard or Large.

4. Worked examples

We suggest the cheaper plan. When Large would cost less than Standard with packs, the website tells you before you pay.

5. Free trial (Large plan)

• The Large plan has a 60-day free trial.
• A payment card is required to start the trial.
• You will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before it ends. We will email you a reminder before the trial ends (CHECK and set the reminder, for example 7 days before).
• You can cancel during the trial on {{WEBSITE}} and pay nothing.
• One trial per organisation.

6. Buying, renewal and changes

• Plans are bought on {{WEBSITE}}. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Automatic renewal: your plan renews at the end of each period, at the then-current price, and Stripe charges the card on file. It continues until you cancel.
• Upgrading (for example adding packs or moving to Large) takes effect at once. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period, pro-rated (CHECK Stripe proration setting).
• Downgrading (removing packs, moving to a smaller plan) takes effect at the start of the next period. Before it does, the mosque must be within the smaller plan's limits, or new additions will pause (see section 10).
• Switching monthly to yearly takes effect at once, with credit for unused time (CHECK).

7. Cancelling

• Cancel at any time on {{WEBSITE}} (in your billing page), or ask us at {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
• After that, the mosque moves to the free limits (see section 10). Nothing is deleted.

8. Refunds

• Our default: we do not give refunds or partial refunds for the current period, including for unused time, except where the law requires.
• EU and UK consumers: if you buy as a consumer (not for an organisation), you have a 14-day right to withdraw from the first purchase. If you asked us to start the service during those 14 days, we may keep a fair amount for the days you used. To withdraw, email {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} with a clear statement.
• Mosques usually buy as organisations, so consumer withdrawal rights usually do not apply. We will still look kindly at genuine mistakes (for example a double payment or a charge right after a forgotten trial) if you tell us within 14 days.
• Other consumer laws (for example the Australian Consumer Law) may give you rights that we cannot exclude. These terms do not limit them.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method.

9. Taxes and currency

• Prices are in USD. Your bank may charge for currency conversion.
• Prices do not include sales tax, VAT, GST or similar taxes unless the checkout says so. Where we must collect tax, it is added at checkout based on your location. Organisations with a valid tax or VAT number may enter it to apply reverse charge where allowed. CHECK tax registration and whether Stripe Tax is used.
• Invoices are available on {{WEBSITE}}.

10. Failed payments and lapsed plans

If a payment fails:

1. Stripe will try again over the next few days, and we will email the billing contact (CHECK retry schedule).
2. If it still fails, the plan lapses.

When a plan lapses or ends, nothing is deleted.

• All existing data stays readable and editable. Treasurers can keep recording money, members can see their records, and reports still work.
• Only adding new admins or members beyond the free limits (3 admins, 50 members) pauses.
• It starts again as soon as the plan is renewed, or once the mosque reduces its admins and members to within the limits.

11. How limits are enforced

• Limits count active admins and active members in one mosque or organisation.
• When you reach a limit, the app explains it and does not let you add more until you add a pack, change plan or free up a place. People already in the mosque are never removed by us because of limits.
• Removing a role from a person (making them a plain Member) frees an admin place. Removing or archiving a member frees a member place (CHECK how archived or blocked members are counted).

12. Price changes

• We may change prices to keep covering our costs.
• We will tell the billing contact at least 30 days before a new price applies to you.
• New prices apply from your next renewal after that notice. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the renewal.

13. Fair use of storage

Plans include reasonable storage for receipts, documents and photos. We do not set a hard storage cap today. If a mosque's storage is very unusual (far above similar mosques), we will contact it first to find a solution. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
